Our Mission

The Guild is founded upon the traditions of the ancient guild system, re-imagined for today with a steadfast commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity. Our vision is to build a vibrant and welcoming community where the art and practice of falconry can be learned, shared, and sustained by people from all walks of life.

We honour falconry’s heritage while recognising that true membership is not defined solely by flying a bird at game. The Guild welcomes all who share a genuine interest in the welfare, conservation, and responsible stewardship of birds of prey — whether through active falconry, husbandry, education, or appreciation, everyone with a passion for raptors has a place among us.

Inspired by historical guilds, we foster a system of learning, mentorship, and progression — guiding aspiring falconers through apprenticeship, development, and mastery. This structured path reflects a deep commitment to ethical husbandry, responsible practice, and the unique bond between human and raptor.

Unlike the exclusivity of the past, the Guild is open to all — regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, socio-economic background, physical ability, or any other characteristic.
