Online Social & Soft Launch

An informal online get-together to reconnect after Christmas and a gentle welcome session for people interested in joining the Guild.

In-Person Events

Three Days at NCBP (Charlie's)

National Centre for Birds of Prey

Our first in-person Guild gathering and community launch: our first stand, a Guild barbecue, and participation in Charlie's Quiz ("Question of Sqwark").

The Game Fair

24–26 July 2026

Running a formal stand and treating the day as a Guild meet-up — a chance to be visible and supportive.

The Falconry Gathering

4–6 September or 18–20 September 2026 (TBC) Provisional

A club stand plus a Guild meeting or face-to-face social.

Vowley Falcon Racing

11–13 September 2026

A key Guild presence event. Members are encouraged to join Team Guild and race, or volunteer to support and steward the event.

Online Talks

Online Training & Knowledge Sessions

Throughout 2026–2027 (TBC) Provisional

Evening online talks for UK-wide accessibility: telemetry & GPS, raptor nutrition and weight control, veterinary care, the Hawk Board, falcon racing, responsible breeding, hunting ethics, and running centres or displays.

The Squawk Cup

A new Guild tradition: awarded once a year at the AGM for the best story shared within the Guild community — triumphant, humbling, hilariously chaotic, or simply unforgettable. The winner receives bragging rights, custodianship of the Squawk Cup, and a place in Guild storytelling legend.
